First steps to AVBCOS

RAF Saucer.I wasn't too happy with the finish (Humbrol 15) of the outer hull but with the decals I'm hoping it will grow on me.The inter panels are still to paint as this Polar Lights Jupitur 2 was an e-bay sale without instructions or decals.

Saucer time :)

I've just got hold of a saucer off ebay so I'll be going ahead with ABCOS along with my Space 1889 project.Pics will follow when done.

The Martians are here

At last my Martians are here and hopefully I'll have them painted soon.

City building or area Station

I've still got the shutters to add to the windows and a floor surface to the courtyard/station compound.I've also to add to stables at the front of the compound.

First Martian buildings for Space 1889 & VBCOS.Built from cork floor tiles to keep it cheap.I want to keep this project small and not get carried away as I've done with AVBCW.

The idea is in rural parts local 'light' clays are used to make very simple constructions.Small doors to reduce martian dust entering.No windows.On good days a roof hatch to let out excess heat.For larger (more wealthy) buildings the same format is used but windows with shutters nearly always facing the weakest wind direction.The only windows are always on these sides.Wood is in short supply in some areas so tends to be restricted to larger wealthier buildings.
