More boring Martian buildings Jan2024

 WIPs and one finished Canal Priest Apothecary for general use on random tables.

A couple of shops in the high class Legation district. Once finished a Lady's dress shop and vintner. In the back ground a fresh water pumping station.

The American Embassy. Which will be orange to match most of the buildings using "my version" of natural plaster finish. The MDF came with that help glaze on it which the paint wouldn't take to. So it has need a an undercoat of on sale robust outside pain first. You maybe can just make out a couple of carriage kits yet to be built for the Ambassador's official use. The Ambassador's residence should finish this set with the already published stables/barracks.

WIP what's on the table. October 2023

 Its very quiet hobbywise here. Very bust life and workwise.

WIP. Big project work on the Siam consulate and the Adventure's Club. Plus a random canal priest workshop.

More to come if life lets me.

Stables on Mars -March 2023

 Finished some simple stables for the current Syrtis Major project. One general purpose building and the other for the Austro-Hungarian Embassy.

Dutch Embassy on Mars/WIP Feb 2023

 Its been while but finally getting closer to the project targets. A WIP of the Dutch/Belgium Embassy. It will be two buildings within a closed garden in a traditional lowland brick style.

 Its been a busy 6 weeks so not much has been done. Still working on this pain in the rear. When does the painting windows stop?

Feb 2022-Martian / French Trade Building WIP

Getting closer to finishing the French trade building/

Quote "The Trade Delegation is almost as large as the Embassy, but it was

constructed in a imitation Martian style that some have found offensive in

middle of the Legation Compound. The French reason for building it in this

style is quit pragmatic, as they would say, “We trade with Martians and they

feel more at home here so they are more willing to bargain.” "

I want to add some plants to it, internal stairs and a little bit of basic furniture. Oh and glass for the roof.

 

Jan 2022 WIP Barracks

 Not much to show again. Just working on finishing the British and American barracks.

The American barracks for its Embassy, is built over the coach house and houses Marines.

Little progress over November and the first part of December this year.

Plans for next year are to go down the outstanding list as usual. Buildings, cloudships and minis.

Sytris Major Apartments A WIP/Oct 2021

 So a little progress of one of the Syrtis Major apartments groups in the legation quarter. Going on the TRMGS description ' a group of apartment buildings, all some three stories in height'. So with one being the Martian slaughter house its self I think just one more three storey building would do to fit 'group'.

Lots of internal walls to make up the four apartments per floor. With the aim of a larger apartment on the upper floor.

Sept/Oct 2021 WIP

Early stages of a former Martian slaughter house converted into apartment blocks in the Legation district of Sytris Major.

Nothing new in September due to computer issues. I've lost two in one year with data. Are they making these things out of toffee?

WIP French Embassy on Mars/August 2021

 So its not finished......what's new lol. A WIP of the French Embassy in Syrtis Major. I still have to square the circle of the corbels from my mdf waste box. Add some basic furniture and maybe two internal walls to make offices and of cause flags. Lots of flags! Tricolours everywhere in honour of the 3rd Republic. Source French WWII Hotel TT Combat

First the start of a French Embassy and second a little mystery.

19. FRENCH LEGATION

Second only to the Russian Embassy, the French Embassy sits in the southeast

corner of the Legation Compound. They have built an Louis XIV Embassy

in all the glory that was France of the end of the last century. Adding

to the splendor is the Ambassador’s residence in Martian stone and French

gilt. The Trade Delegation is almost as large as the Embassy, but it was

constructed in a imitation Martian style that some have found offensive in

middle of the Legation Compound. The French reason for building it in this

style is quit pragmatic, as they would say, “We trade with Martians and they

feel more at home here so they are more willing to bargain.” The French

have a full platoon of infantry stationed here, the largest of the garrisons. To

house them they have built a two story barracks.

TT Combat WWII hotel is the basis for the building.

The next is still in the bag for now.

A kit found online that shouted out to be converted to something else Martian.
