For King and Gumme Part 5

For King and Gumme Part 5

"Come with me Red skin we have plans for your kind" Another human is taken off by the Martians.

The freed slaves join on a die role and add to the ranks of the Free Legion.

The 4th breaks and the officers run for cover.

The last line of defence.

Hurrah! The Marines.

Forward.

Fire!

Charge! The Marines are caught off guard before they reach the entrance of the plantation house.

The feared Tossian Heavy Cavalry!

You'll need more than a bayonet gentleman.

Times up and at the final round the Martians take the game.
What will happen to the human captives?

Things aren't going well for the plantation guards.

"They just won't go down" As the Tossian rifles rip through the ranks of the 4th.

"Fall back!"

An orderly retreat as the 4th is forced back while the Emerald Guard continues forward, lead bouncing off their armour.

Bored with boards or April Update

Not much to report. I've been catching up with boards, enough for a few years me thinks! I've also been going through the lead pile, thinning out and trying to plan a painting schedule when I have the spare time.

As my better half put it "That's a nice pile of fire wood" bless her.

Planned to be a market place on the water front.

Yes I gave in and bought some In Her Majesty's Name. These will either become part of my forces or maybe a skirmish game related to my Space 1889 background? Not made my mind up yet. I think I should paint them first and worry about how to use them later.

Finally started sorting out my last big order from RAFM.

Bits and bods that have been slowly building up.

The Russian and Nippon Cavalry that didn't get started due to "events" beyond my control. Maybe this year?

Martian Terrain Work

Just a few pics of the on going terrain project for my Space 1889 games.

Finishing off projects at the same time. A pair of Martian water wheels  used to produce power from the canal.

They will sit in the canal and power a number of items in the settlement including the long promised Martian crane.

Feb Update or No not another Martian Project !

I said I wasn't going to start any new projects this year, just finish those outstanding but......................

I've got the terrain bug again!

After some damage it was time for a refurb of the canal board plus adding a frame to try to stave off warping. This time a much darker and deeper colour for the clay/mud banks. After another coat it may get a dry brush of a lighter colour?
Martian outpost? From Amera Plastics. I've got to add a door to the rear on the upper level and maybe some shutters. Not a fort but a defendable "way station" for travellers on route through the steppes or deserts.

A ruined city idea? Maybe the city of Bordobaar? This may mean more games boards or free standing terrain?

Will the Martian madness ever stop? ; -)
